Bullying Hurts

Posted to MichiganNow.org on Monday, September 17, 2012

Zachary Camburn, 17 year old student at Southwest Michigan Virtual Academy in Battle Creek. Anti-bullying piece.

“Has a bigger kid ever pushed you down on the playground and made you too afraid to get back up on your own feet? Have you ever been made fun of for your clothes, the kind of music you listen to or your hair style or how about for what you believe in, because mostly I just believe in me?

“But to some people that hasn’t been enough. Atleast, not to the bullies. And it seems like they’re everywhere now days. They’ve been following me since I was in grade school pointing at me, calling me names and trying to break my bones with words. I know they say sticks and stones will break my bones but words will never hurt me…”
